Drill Pipe Connection Sequence
1. Clean the wellhead plate to facilitate the lowering and assembly of components.
2. Manually operate the drill pipe lock to insert the male drill pipe head into the female drill pipe tail.
3. Tighten the chain to force the connection and create pressure between the female drill pipe tail and the wellhead plate; this is crucial for ensuring a secure connection.
4. After removing the chain, manually rotate the male drill pipe head to verify that the connection is secure.
5. Use a hydraulic wrench to tighten the drill pipe head and ensure the connection does not come loose.
Precautions
1. Inspect the joints; replace any that are defective immediately.
2. Do not use loose connections; disassemble the joint on the surface and reassemble it properly.
3. Avoid overtightening or applying excessive torque during connection and operation to prevent drill pipe deformation or breakage, thereby ensuring operational safety.
4. During the connection process, take measures to prevent water and sand from entering the borehole.
